PlaniSphere Virtual Globe

PlaniSphere is a high performance 3D virtual globe that allows you to remotely explore areas of interest. PlaniSphere is an application for GIS enthusiasts and professionals.

PlaniSphere may consume WMS and WMTS and also GeoPackages supported by global projections (EPSG:4326 or WGS 84). PlaniSphere contains a database of WMS/WMTS sources available over the internet. These sources provide satellite imagery (NASA BlueMarble and LandSat, NAIP, USGS Imagery, ESA Sentinel 2) and maps (OpenStreetMap and topo maps). Base layers such as Blue Marble and Blue Marble Next Generation, LandSat, Sentinel 2 and overlays may be interactively configured by users. Furthermore users may further enhance the viewing experience by adding their own data sources.

PlaniSphere may be used for navigation by taking advantage of the GPS hardware supported by your device.
